He is also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public Secretary, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Investment & Financial Analysts and hold a Certification in the Management of Banking Risks.

Mr. Anthony Wainaina holds a MSc in Marketing from University of Glamorgan, UK., B.Ed. Arts (Mathematics & Economics, Economics Major) from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma, Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. He has also done the Global CEO Africa Leadership Course from Strathmore Business School (Kenya). Anthony is a trustee board member of Producers Direct, and also a trustee board member of the Kenya Police Football Club. He has been a Founder and Director of several Companies including Ponty Pridd Holdings Ltd, Quitrix Limited, E-tisha among others. He has previously held senior positions in sales, marketing and business development departments in various companies including, KTDA, Kenchic Limited, Diageo UDV Kenya Ltd, and Coca Cola Nairobi Bottlers Ltd. He is the chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and a member of the HR, Administration and Governance Committee.

Mr. Joel Kibe holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Moi University. He is a director at CMC Holdings, Credible Electronics, Extreme Sound, and Mobicom Kenya Limited. He also serves as Board Chairman of Creative Sounds and a Council member at the University of Nairobi. He is a distinguished executive with extensive experience spanning business leadership and international humanitarian efforts. His career showcases a blend of strategic management, logistical expertise, and a profound commitment to community and humanitarian service. He is the chair of the Finance, Planning and ICT Committee and a member of the Investment, Licensing and Infrastructure Committee.
Ms. Joyce Cheruiyot

Joyce Cheruiyot is a seasoned Business Development and Training Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the banking and MSME development sectors. She is a Certified Trainer with the International Labour Organizations Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) and Gender and Entrepreneurship Together (GET Ahead) programs. Joyce has led mentorship and capacity-building programs for the KCB Foundation, Equity Foundation, and KNCCI, focusing on empowering entrepreneurs, women-led enterprises, and investment groups across Kenya. Before her consulting career, Joyce held senior management roles in the banking industry, including Branch Manager positions at Bank of Africa Kenya and Sidian Bank (formerly K-Rep Bank). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Finance) from Kenyatta University and is pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management at Daystar University. She also hold Diploma in Counseling Psychology from Kenya Institute of Business and Counseling (KIBCO). Areas of Expertise: Business Development, MSME Mentorship, Entrepreneurship Training, Coaching, Leadership Development, and Strategic Partnership Management. She is the chair of HR, Administration and Governance Committee and a member of Finance, Planning and ICT Committee.

Mr. Jonathan Stewart Philip Coulson is a LLB degree holder. He is a practising Kenyan Advocate and enrolled as an English Solicitor (Not Practising). He is a partner in Coulson Harney LLP, trading as Bowmans Kenya. He is the Chairman, Ol Pejeta Conservancy Limited, Chairman, Muthaiga Country Club, Director Old Mutual Insurance South Sudan Limited, Director Performing & Visual Arts Centre Limited trading as the Godown Arts Centre and Trustee Old Mutual Foundation. His legal experience spans over 31 years. He has been director at Muthaiga Country Club for 24 years. He is the chair of the HR, Administration and Governance Committee and a member of the Finance, Planning and ICT Committee.

Mr. David Ontweka holds a Bachelor of Social Legislation, Bachelor of Laws and Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a certified public secretary, commissioner for oaths and notary public. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, East Africa Law Society, Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and Commonwealth lawyers Association. He is currently the Acting Deputy Commissioner – Policy and International Affairs Division in the Customs and Border Control Department. He has previously served a Regional Manager Customs and Border Control, Head of litigation in tax, customs and excise disputes resolution and assistant commissioner, legal services. He is a member of the Investment, Licensing and Infrastructure Committee, Finance, Planning and ICT Committee, HR, Administration and Governance Committee and Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Mr. Emmanuel Kitaka is a dedicated Economist, adept Data Analyst, and seasoned Researcher currently contributing his expertise at The National Treasury & Planning. He has a robust background in economics and a passion for data-driven insights. He excels in leveraging analytical tools to inform policy decisions and drive socio-economic development initiatives. He is a member of the Investment Licensing and Infrastructure Committee, Finance, Planning and ICT Committee, Human Resource, Administration and Governance Committee, and Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Mr. Anwar Said Ahmed
Alternate to Principal Secretary, State Department for Investment Promotion
Mr. Anwar Said Ahmed is an accomplished Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and digital transformation leader with over 20 years of experience spanning the public and private sectors. He currently serves as Director of ICT at the State Department for Investment Promotion in the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry, where he provides strategic leadership in advancing digital solutions to support investment facilitation. Previously, he served as Chief Officer for ICT, E-Government and Communication at the Mombasa County Government, where he led the implementation of innovative digital initiatives that contributed to the County's recognition as Africa's Best Local Government in Digital Leadership and Innovation.
Mr. Ahmed has also held senior leadership positions with leading technology and telecommunications companies, including Liquid Telecom Kenya, Airtel Kenya, Wananchi Group, Pwani Telecoms and Alfa Solutions, where he successfully drove business growth, ICT infrastructure development and enterprise technology solutions. He holds a Master's degree in Information Technology, a Bachelor of Business Information Technology, and numerous internationally recognised professional certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, IBM and Linux technologies.
As a member of the Board of the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA), Mr. Ahmed brings extensive expertise in digital transformation, ICT governance, innovation, strategic leadership and investment facilitation, supporting the Authority's mandate of enhancing Kenya's competitiveness as a preferred destination for investment and Special Economic Zones.

Alternate to the Chairperson, National Land Commission
CHRP. Kigen Vincent Cheruiyot is a seasoned governance and public policy leader with over 15 years of experience in constitutional governance, institutional leadership, public administration, and strategic policy development. He currently serves as a Commissioner at the National Land Commission (NLC), where he provides oversight on land governance, public land administration, compulsory land acquisition, dispute resolution, and national land policy in accordance with the Constitution of Kenya.
Mr. Cheruiyot holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Africa International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Management from St. Paul's University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Governance at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K), a graduate of the Strategic Leadership Development Programme and Senior Management Course at the Kenya School of Government, and a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
He brings to the Board of the Special Economic Zones Authority extensive expertise in corporate governance, strategic leadership, public policy, intergovernmental relations, fiscal oversight, stakeholder engagement, and institutional transformation, supporting the Authority's mandate of promoting investment, industrialization, and sustainable economic development.
Dr. Kenneth Chelule, P.Eng. Tech, FIET, EBS

Dr. Kenneth Chelule holds a PhD and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom and an Executive MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is an experienced professional with more than 20 years of expertise in industrial research, technology transfer and MSME support. He has previously held the positions of Director of Partnership, Strategy, Research, and Resource Mobilization and Chief Research Scientist and Deputy Director at the Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI). He has also worked for Johnson & Johnson (UK), Summit Medical (UK), and the University of Leeds (UK). He is the accounting officer of the Authority and is responsible for communication and execution of the board’s strategy.

Ms. Daisy Ajima holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Master of Law, LLM (International Trade and Investment Law) degrees from University of Nairobi, and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She also holds CPA (Part II) and CPS (K). She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public, Registered CPS and a Certified Governance Auditor. She is a member of LSK and ICS. She is responsible for providing board secretariat and legal services to the Authority.
